THE YOUNG PARENT NETWORK
The Young Parent Network is a program designed to address the needs of pregnant and parenting teens and young adults ages 24 and younger who are struggling with the emotional, financial and personal demands of being a parent.
The goal of the program is to increase the health, safety and well-being of children and families. We do this by following evidence-based practices to assure a safe home environment, develop positive parenting skills and teach healthy ways of coping with stress overall.
Young Parent Co-Op
Clients of the Young Parent Network are able to participate in a Co-Op that creates a supportive social network that can continue after completion of the program. The Co-Op includes monthly family outings to encourage fun interactions and bonding between young parents and their children.
Cost & Eligibility
The Program is funded by the United Way of San Diego. It is free to those who meet program criteria.
