Residential Services

Casa de Amparo provides residentially-based services, in a safe and nurturing setting, for children aged 6-18 who have been removed from their homes as a result of abuse or neglect. During their stay at Casa de Amparo, each child receives comprehensive care to address their individual physical, social, emotional, developmental and educational needs while also ensuring that they have as many normal childhood experiences as possible. By treating each child with dignity and respect, we are able to nurture the incredible potential that exists within all children.

Residents are referred by a San Diego County Social Worker. Stays can be on an emergency, short term (0-3 months) or long term basis. We are also licensed to accept both ambulatory and nonambulatory children with special health care needs.
