Family Visitation Program

Casa de Amparo’s Family Visitation Program at the Family Services Center provides a neutral, supervised setting for North County parents who have been separated from their children as a result of child abuse or neglect, enabling regular visits and positive interactions and eventual reunification.

Services

  • Resources and education to promote healthy family relationships, which will ultimately promote family reunification
  • Reduction of trauma associated with separation
  • A nurturing, safe environment that enhances family interaction
  • Feedback to families and social workers regarding progress or concerns with parenting skills, interactions and the reunification plan

Casa Kids and Families in the Supervised Visitation Program

  • Children who have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care as a result of abuse or neglect
  • Parents who have court ordered reunification plans to visit with their children under court-approved supervision
  • Divorcing parents referred by the Family Court

The Program and Facility

  • Founded in 2000
  • Located in Oceanside at the Family Services and Hayward Child Development Center
  • Cozy, homelike family room and kitchen
  • Spacious playground and picnic area
  • Plenty of toys, books and games for infants through teens

Referrals and Fees
San Diego County Child Welfare Services and the Family Court provide referrals to this program. CWS clients pay no fees for this program, which is supported by government funds, grants and private donations. Families referred by the Family Court pay a low fee.

Hours of Operation
Seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., as needed, by appointment only
