America’s Next Top Model Finalist Jade Cole Joins Volunteer Team for Meet the Chefs Benefiting Casa de Amparo
March 30, 2010 (Oceanside, CA) – In the hit reality show, America’s Next Top Model, Jade Cole was the arrogant narcissist viewers loved to hate or hated to love, but in reality she’s a successful model/actress/writer with a social consciousness and desire to serve those less fortunate.
“After my notoriety on ANTM, I wanted to return to issues that are most important to me and give back to the community that has given me so much support,” said Jade. “I wanted to work with children. Friends and family told me about Casa de Amparo. I was touched by their vision of ending child abuse and so decided to become a volunteer.”
Jade will be helping out and signing autographs upon request at Casa de Amparo’s 14th Annual Meet the Chefs of Del Mar on Sunday, April 18th, including lending her runway style to presenting the many exciting auction items to be offered.
The event will be held at the Del Mar Hilton, 15575 Jimmy Durante Blvd, 1-4PM with a special VIP Reception 12:15-1PM featuring champagne and a gourmet cheese tasting by Venissimo Cheese of Del Mar.
Seventeen chefs from 15 of Del Mar’s finest restaurants will offer samples of their signature dishes paired with wines from Young’s Market Company. Coastal Eddy provides the musical ambience.
With dishes such as Duck Confit Ravioli with Morels and Porcinis by Jeffrey Strauss/Pamplemousse Grille or Bryan Graham/Sbicca’s Heirloom Tomato-Goat Cheese & Caramelized Onion Tartlets, there is a lot to enjoy at this al fresco wine & dine experience.
The San Diego Union-Tribune is Media Partner for the event. Signature Chef Partners are DEI Holdings and DJO Incorporated.
