Each year, Casa de Amparo must raise thousands of dollars in order to provide the scope of care we believe our Casa Kids need and deserve. Much of this funding comes from participation in and attendance at our special events.

In the fall, our Crystal Ball begins the holiday season with an elegant gala. In the spring you can look forward to "Meet the Chefs of Del Mar," an afternoon of wine and fine foods prepared by some of Del Mar's best chefs. Each summer, Casa hosts a great afternoon of golf followed by cocktails, dinner and exciting auctions.

FORE The Kids Golf Tournament

Monday August 9, 2010. In August of 2000, Casa de Amparo’s Board Members created a golf tournament fundraiser to help supplement the Ivey Ranch Capital Campaign for our Family Services and Hayward Child Development Center facilities which opened in 2007. The tournament quickly became a popular Casa event in which donors and community partners share in a fun-filled day that directly benefits all programs we offer today. Lunch is served al fresco and the day is spent on a prominent golf course. Golfers return to the clubhouse for cocktails, a silent and live auction and a delicious awards dinner.$300 per golfer, $1,100 per foursome.

Crystal Ball Gala

Saturday October 30, 2010. In 1999, visionary Casa de Amparo patrons and community members conceived the idea of a gala that would raise substantial funds to help each Casa Kid look into his or her own crystal ball and see a brighter future. This annual event, held in Rancho Santa Fe, starts with an elite cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception followed by an elegant dinner prepared and served by Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille. Live, super silent and silent auctions add to the overall financial success of this black-tie event while treating winning bidders to luxurious prizes.

Meet The Chefs of Del Mar

April, 2011. In 1997, Casa de Amparo created a first-of-its-kind event giving guests and supporters an opportunity to meet chefs from Del Mar’s finest restaurants who donate their culinary talents to benefit the children of Casa de Amparo. Held poolside at the Hilton Del Mar, chefs come together and share their signature food and wine pairings with an average of 350 guests in attendance. A highlight of the afternoon is a live auction that features the chefs and their donations of exclusive dinners prepared in winners’ private homes. Meet the Chefs of Del Mar is held annually in April.
