Summary of Employee Benefits

Casa de Amparo is concerned with the welfare of our employees as well as our clients and offers comprehensive benefits such as:

Health Insurance
The 1st of the month following ninety (90) days of employment, employees are eligible for:

  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance of $15,000 (F/T only)

Casa de Amparo pays the majority of the premium for full-time and 50% for part-time employees’ HMO health benefits.  Coverage for dependents is available for an extra cost.  PPO coverage for dental is also available for an extra cost.  Life insurance is no cost to full-time employees.

Retirement Plan
Full and part-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Casa de Amparo tax deferred annuity plan, 403 (b) with no waiting period.  

Holidays
Full-time employees receive eight (8) paid hours and part-time employees receive four (4) hours for the following holidays:

Legal Holidays:
New Years Day                 Independence Day
Martin Luther King            Labor Day
President’s Day                Thanksgiving Day
Memorial Day                    Christmas Day

Floating Holidays:  On July 1st - full time exempt employees receive 3 and non exempt receive 2- (8) hour floating holidays if employed 90 days prior to July 1st.  Part-time receive 2- (4) hour floating holidays.

Birthday Holiday:  Following one (1) year of employment, employees’ receive their birthday off with full or part-time pay depending on their status.

Vacation
Full-time exempt employees accrue 120 hours (3 weeks) of vacation for the first three years; Non Exempt accrue 80 hours (2 weeks). Part-time employees accrue half the hours. Additional vacation hours accrue at established anniversary dates.

Sick Leave
Full-time employees accrue a maximum of 64 hours of sick leave per year. Part-time employees accrue 32 hours.
