Of great significance, Phase I of a $16 million capital construction project was completed In October 2007. The new facilities have greatly improved the environment for the programs provided at the new site and enhanced the quality of care. An impressive $13.5 million has been secured as of January 2013 and fundraising continues to raise the additional $2.5 million that will make the campus debt-free.
Without a mortgage, maximum resources can be devoted to enhancing and expanding programs and services for abused, neglected, and at-risk children and familes. Casa Kids Campus, which officially opened in June 2012, provides a permanent home for all current and future efforts of our organization, enabling Casa de Amparo to continue making a major contribution to a community where child abuse and neglect are not tolerated, and where child abuse awareness and prevention are priorities.
